Hey! I found this a pretty interesting read, and I really enjoyed the fact that you’re talking about more general audiences, bringing this discussion outside fandom spaces. At the same time, I’m kinda curious about your opinion on how the “let people enjoy things” dynamic works in more niche/fandom communities, where it’s common to see detractors of a particular piece of media insert themselves in fan spaces in order to express their dislike for said piece of media (which often seems to have the intention of generating negative reactions among fans).
