Boku no Natsuyasumi, Millennium Kitchen (2000). It’s turned into dusk too many times, and it is now time for Boku to go back home.

Towards the end of each installment, the main character contemplates, or outright expresses, his desire to stay with his relatives forever, which is followed by an understanding of this not being possible. This perfectly punctuates the unforgettable nature of the precious summer the character just experienced.
Boku no Natsuyasumi, Millennium Kitchen (2000). Boku’s final diary entry in the first game is overflowing with his literal love “for everyone”, a love the game lets you know he will remember once he turns into an adult.
